My experience at Johnsons SEAT Liverpool

My experience at Johnsons SEAT Liverpool was awful. We were told to bring our car in for a recall when our car was last in for a service. The person we dealt with (Liam I belove) told us it wasn't a serious recall and to schedule it in from January 2025. I called SEAT in January 2025 and got it booked in for May, as this was the only appointment available. However, when we arrived to drop the car off on Tuesday, we were told that it said on the system that the recall had already been done when it was last serviced. We were not informed of this when I booked the car in. We were also told there may not be a curtsey car for us to use to get home in, even though we were told in January when I booked the car in that one would be available to us. The person we dealt with said we were 'lucky' and they there was actually a curtsey car we could use. Both me and my husband took the morning off work to drop the car off for the recall. To be then told it had already been done previously was ridiculous and it shows no one really knew what was going on. The person who dealt with us said they would look into it and to leave our car with them and that they would let us know when we could pick our car up that afternoon. We were told to come between 4pm and 5pm to pick our car up. We got there around 4.30 pm but were kept waiting for over half an hour to collect the car as they were 'busy'. The welcome we received both times we entered the show room was not at the standard we would expect. We were ignored at first, and then told to 'just sit over there and someone will come to us at some point'. The person who dealt with us confirmed that the recall had already been fixed last time we dropped our car off for a service, but they had done a vehicle check and washed the car for us. This was an absolute waste of our time, there was no need for us to take our car in, so why were we told to and told to ring to book it in. When I did ring in January, why was I not told them that we didn't need to bring it back? A really terrible service and waste of both our morning and afternoon to collect the car. Really disappointing.
